The new ZÜRIDRIFT racecar is nearing completition. But the wiring nightmare is not over yet! Ahhhhhh

It’s starting to look like a car again. Thanks to drift dog and the superb 2012 build team, there is now mainly wiring work and a few mechanical things left to do.

Finally here’s the happenings of weeks 6 and 7.

Engine dropping, haltech wiring, strut bracing and dashboard building. Also, some guy burned his tires when launching an overpriced mercedes.

Work went well thanks to the incredible drift dog.

Sometimes it’s interesting how things evolve. Looking back on the 2011 drift season with Team SI, many images flash trough the mind. Images of incredible battles and great memories that will stay with me forever. On the other hand however, some nightmarish thoughts return as well since my old green S14 was rumored to be cursed by gypsies.

Week 5 of my 2012 S14 build was all about painting. Prepping interior and exterior parts for paint and applying that beautiful coat of deep purple and white.

Work was done very efficiently thanks to the mysterious drift dog.

Work went on as planned for week 3:
Panettone cutting, Cookie eating, Coke drinking and some racecar building as well.

Sorry for the lack of updates but we were super-busy with working on the S14 build for 2012.

For Week 2 work continued with spotwelding, stripping, tedious sanding, samurai swording and getting the engine bay and interior ready to paint. Merry frickin’ xmas.

Time flies when you’re having fun. The build for 2012 has started, and boy is it a crapload of work.

Here’s a quick rundown what went on.

This weekend the next phase will begin, with lots painting and more welding and other shenanigans.

Here’s some more sideways footage from an almost complete lap at Pouilly. This is a great drift track in France for those of you who don’t know it. We will be having many more track days there so get ready to rumble in 2012.
