Hi guys

Today we are going to talk what you should bring to a racetrack besides your car.
(I hope you hear the teacher in me ;-) )

While being in the midst of the season preparations we once again struggle to get all the things financed we need. I can tell you getting a car, team, drivers, supporters in line for a full on race season is neither cheap nor easy.

I have been driving the S14 since I can remember. It wasn’t my first car, but surely the first one that wasn’t crap.

Having owned and maintained two S14′s over the years, taking one of them from daily-driven car to fire-breathing competition ready machine, I’d like to put down my thoughts on this subject.

I want to begin with a sentence my sponsor said to me at the end of last year: You know what? I don’t really know why I should sponsor you, I even don’t know how this all works, when I used to race, the fastest driver was the best but nowadays everything is about show, hype the crowd, shiny cars and girls.

I am judging since 3 years, this year will be my 4th season I judge around Europe sporadically. Usually I get hired when there is a discontent in the driver rows. I never had big problems and arguments after the events. But I understand the drivers as well. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why a decision is made this way and not the other way.

Sometimes a rather cold way of spending the day

This week we presented to you most of our team drivers and some are still to come. What I want to do is present you some of my favorite drivers who inspired me to driver harder every time, gave me inputs and helped me grow as a driver.

This month it is driver presentation month and since we are all looking up to drivers who are rather good I would like to talk about what makes a driver become good.

Over the past years I have visited numerous racetracks around the world and was fortunate enough to get to drive on tracks in Germany, France, Japan and the USA. There is no track though which has seen me more then Anneau du Rhin in France.

I want to share some experiences I had over the past 4 years while driving grip on various tracks all over Europe. I am by no means a JGTC, Formula nor DTM driver so there might also be other views on all this. But I guess it is not wrong to get somebody elses ideas on certain stuff. :-)

A sporty car makes the trip to track more enjoyable!

So this is the story how I came from grip driving to drifting and how it helped me in the world of big angles and smoke.

Welcome to a little flashback using nostalgic pictures from the past, specifically from the time when Thomas and myself started getting obsessed with the madness that is motorsport and drifting.
