So today I worked on our rental car, a Nissan S13 and did a nice brake upgrade.
The whole car is running on a budget since we want to keep rental costs rather low but the braking department was definitely something we had to address.

So after the first few mods to our project S14 (read here) we brought it to Anneau du Rhin and did the first real testing.

We do have a new Nissan S14 in our team’s line up and over the upcoming weeks and months we will do some modifications and tests with it.
Idea is to show you how we approach a project like this and what our first mods are.

So last week we had a turbo comparison of the IHI models usually seen on the Subaru STi’s.
This week we will look at the turbos available from Japan. We look at brans like HKS, Apexi, Trust, Blitz and Power Enterprise.

I have found this interesting chart comparing the different turbos available. here you can see the power the models are usually seen running WITH SUPPORTING MODS.
For example I have seen the HKS GT-SS run up to 380hp. But I doubt it will handle this for a very long time. But with this chart you can compare the different models with each other.

Time flies when you’re having fun. The build for 2012 has started, and boy is it a crapload of work.
