All I can say about the clip in advance is that it is so hard on the limit that it’s unreal! I’d like to remember that this is the Ruf ‘Yellowbird’ CTR-1 a car known to be in a different league than any car in this time. With a weight of just 1170kg and power around the 470bhp mark – RUF did show that the Ferrari F40 and the Porsche 959 is not the climax of 1980s supercars! Btw. Just ABS, no ESP or other helpers involved!

This flashback takes up back to the 2010 competition season of of the german drift series IDS. It is a warm-up for the coming IDS Round 2 which will take place again on exactly the same track on 12.06.2011. Don’t miss it!

The Team is already hyped up to seek & destroy the competition there!

Last year around this time in spring, Speed Industries organized a grip event in the green hell. As this is one of the best trackdays to participate we’d like to share some memories and hope to get a slot on this marvellous track this year!

Starting our vintage week, I think we can do a little 80s DTM revival. This isn’t that long ago, but today watching racing in television is just boring, back in the days it was very entertaining and interessting. The DTM from then influenced german car industries during the last decade a lot.

Enough said just watch it!

For the last hurrah of the 2010 drifting season, the Speed Industries drifting division attended the final run of the IDS league as well as the Falken European Drifting Championship which took place just on that same weekend. Oh my!

Are you looking forward to the new season 2011 allready? I do for sure, and one thing I cannot wait is beeing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. This place has a huge fascination on me and alot of good motorsports memorys are from there.
