This helps keeping the engine at the perfect revs to match the next lower gear. This helps with not upsetting the car and therefore getting much smoother into the next corner.<\/p>\n<p>Since it is only January right now, you still have some time to practice this until the season starts. Just jump in your daily ride and try to do it during all your downshifts.
