Those guys have a rather dorky reputation, at least this was my experience. Tryin&#8216; to keep up with my stage 1 S13 (~200hp) on KW V3 coilovers wasn\u2019t difficult, it was actually impossible. And when he was behind me, it looked like as if he was just fooling around and could have easily passed me on the outer side of the curve, if he wanted to. Damn, this was kind of unreal!\u00a0A little later, we had a brake in a comfy little restaurant for a bite to eat. There I found, that Martin is actually a very relaxed and friendly guy, nothing close to the spaz, braggin\u2019 scooby boys I have got to know in the past.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-IDS-zipties.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2055\" title=\"2010 IDS zipties\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-IDS-zipties.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"479\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-IDS-zipties.jpg 479w, https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-IDS-zipties-199x300.jpg 199w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 479px) 100vw, 479px\" \/><\/a>Martin&#8217;s top secret special skill is &#8222;zip-tieing&#8220; body parts&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Not that Martin, at the age of 26, only already has a lot of race track experience. He also is a gifted photographer and therefore part of the media team at Speed Industries. One might think that such a person\u2019s profession must be based somewhere within the motorsports\/cars world. But no, Martin has just graduated Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and continues studying for the masters degree. So when he\u2019s not taking pics at race\/drift events, playing the piano like a professional, working at the airport or blasting through the Nordschleife, he\u2019s sitting at home studying\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-zolder.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2061\" title=\"2010 zolder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-zolder.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"385\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-zolder.jpg 598w, https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-zolder-300x193.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 598px) 100vw, 598px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s head over to the actual topic, the more down to earth stuff \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>It all started when Martin bought his silver Subaru Impreza GT back in 2004. It was an already nicely modded &#8217;00 GC8, sporting a larger IHI VF34 turbo, 550cc injectors, performance mapping, Brembo big brake kit and a few body panels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2005-ZH-oberland.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2037\" title=\"2005 ZH oberland\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2005-ZH-oberland.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2005-ZH-oberland.jpg 598w, https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2005-ZH-oberland-300x186.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 598px) 100vw, 598px\" \/><\/a>Martin&#8217;s scooby in 2005&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This must have been a great time for Martin back then. Martin drove it on the Nordschleife, Hockenheimring, in Dijon, Zolder or Anneau du Rhin, just to name a few. As Martin is a passionate photographer\u2026 \u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/silver.fotopic.net\/\">http:\/\/silver.fotopic.net\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/silver.fotopic.net\/\"><\/a>\u2026 there are very few pics of himself, driving on tracks. Most of the time he\u2019s somewhere alongside the track, taking pics.<\/p>\n<p><a &#8222;used&#8220; and actually is a daily driver, has done over 140\u2019000km with Martin behind the wheel and never been babyed, it became a warrior.<\/p>\n<p><a scars, scratches and dents add an unmistakeable character to the scooby. Those guys have a rather dorky reputation, at least this was my experience. Tryin&#8216; to keep up with my stage 1 S13 (~200hp) on KW V3 coilovers wasn\u2019t difficult, it was actually impossible. And when he was behind me, it looked like as if he was just fooling around and could have easily passed me on the outer side of the curve, if he wanted to. Damn, this was kind of unreal!\u00a0 A little later, we had a brake in a comfy little restaurant for a bite to eat. There I found, that Martin\u2019s actually a very relaxed and friendly guy, nothing close to the spaz, braggin\u2019 scooby boys I have got to know in the past.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-IDS-zipties.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"2010 IDS zipties\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-IDS-zipties.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"479\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a>Martin&#8217;s top secret special skill is &#8222;zip-tieing&#8220; body parts&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Not that Martin, at the age of 26, only already has a lot of race track experience. He also is a gifted photographer and therefore part of the media team at Speed Industries. One might think that such a person\u2019s profession must be based somewhere within the motorsports\/cars world. But no, Martin\u2019s just graduated Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and continues studying for the masters degree. So when he\u2019s not taking pics at race\/drift events, playing the piano like a professional, working at the airport or blasting through the Nordschleife, he\u2019s sitting at home studying\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-zolder.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"2010 zolder\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2010-zolder.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"385\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But let\u2019s head over to the actual topic, the more down to earth stuff \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>It all started when Martin bought his silver Subaru Impreza GT back in 2004. It was an already moderately modded &#8217;00 GC8, sporting a larger IHI VF34 turbo, 550cc injectors, performance mapping, Brembo big brake kit and a few body panels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2005-ZH-oberland.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"2005 ZH oberland\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2005-ZH-oberland.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"598\" height=\"371\" \/><\/a>Martin&#8217;s scooby in 2005&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This must have been a great time for Martin back then.
