A proper Nissan 200SX S14 like he used to own and drift&#8230; but this one isn&#8217;t quite the same. it&#8217;s a serious step forward to a top notch competition car. Built with all the knowledge and heart that Martin had accumulated over his years of pro drifting in germany up until it ended with a crash in Sosnova, Czech Republic back in early 2010.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/street.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"street\" width=\"598\" \/><br \/>\n<em>This is the result of a serious yet subtle build &#8211; more than 1000 hours were spent on the car!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>How&#8217;s your new car compared to the old one?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt&#8217;s still about the same as the old car, just some &#8222;small&#8220; modifications I always wanted to do, but I never had the time to take the old car apart. All in all it took over 1000 hours to get the car to its current spec. To be honest, I was a bit scared that I might have some kind of a blockade in my head after this impact. But nothing has changed. I&#8217;m just a little bit more careful with the walls.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.speed-industries.ch\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/aIMG_4740.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"aIMG_4740\" width=\"598\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Many parts were still intact after the crash so Martin reused them on the new car.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>How was the first event with the new car?<\/strong><br \/>\nSimply awesome! I spent some hours in the car on the care track and it worked perfectly. I was running a bit more tire pressure in the rear to keep the speed a bit lower and get used to everything again. But the car is fast and appart from a blown boost hose I had absolutely no problems. The first event was the famous Sport Auto Drift Challenge at Hockenheim, where lots of the best european drifters compete. I managed to finish 10th overall out of 75 drifters, which was a very statisfying result regarding the fact I hadn&#8217;t been drifting for 11 months and this was the first time in the new car.
