This is why I will briefly go over the major changes for this year. Having done some DC events myself for two years now, this is what I would recommend you upgrade to in order to pass the CT like they say it, Controle Technique.<\/p>\n<p>Three things are being changed and severely looked at this year:<\/p>\n<p>Roll Cages<\/p>\n<p>They are real keen this year to having the maximum security behind the front doors. As we do still see some roll cages with no reinforcement in that area at all, it is definitely worth looking into. There are two ways which they accept, the X type or double bar one on top of the other. This was alowed last year but not this year.<\/p>\n<p>Helmets<\/p>\n<p>Only fully faced integral helmets are allowed with proof of the following certifications:<\/p>\n<p>Snell Memorial Foundation &#8211; SA2005, SA2000<br \/>\nSFI Foundation &#8211; Spec 31.1A, 31.2A<br \/>\nStandard &#8211; BS 6658:85 Type A \/ FR<br \/>\nFIA8860 \u2013 2004<\/p>\n<p>Fire Extinguishers<\/p>\n<p>A 2 kg fire extinguisher with gauge and in working order. It needs to be still of date and not expired.<\/p>\n<p>Trust me, you are gona want to think about this one. Being the wise guy who thought I would never EVER have to use this devise, it came in pretty handy when my engine compartment started firing up at the ring last year during the last round of my IDS season. Do make sure you place this in a location that is easy to access for either the driver or someone else.
