OK maybe that’s a bit of a weird question in the title. But what I’m trying to say is that the two drift events I attended the last two weekends were very different indeed, but nonetheless each of them had its very unique appeal that the other one didn’t (1100km drive in a short-geared scooby not included in the considerations.. \ud83d\ude09 ).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The first event was KoE\/PFD in Poland, where I took the above pic of Pavel Trela storming around a turn at full tilt.. I haven’t experienced many drifts as ferocious as the ones displayed by the top dudes in Poland. And there were quite a few of them, for example also Maciej Bochenek (who later won the event) in the following pic:<\/p>\n

And when you got slightly bored by the endless hyper-smoky screaming drive-byes of these pumped-up machines you could just go to the end of the transition after this corner, where some of the drifters entered the following tight corner backwards, here Piotr Wiecek:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

..and no, this wasn’t a spin! Anyway, when this got slightly boring (it didn’t, really..) they started doing awesome battles with the cars almost touching each other:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I might sound like a kid that just attended his first drift event there, but I’ve been going to drift events for quite a while now and I’ve really never experienced such a high standard of both cars and drivers throughout the field. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Well so the appeal of Poland was action action action.. and it was awesome. But then along came Pouilly (wait, isn’t that almost a movie? LOL) and although it was obviously a lot quiter I really liked it too! It was awesome hanging out with so many people I know and having a good time while drifting. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the first day was wet, so I mainly concentrated on getting pics of cars getting slightly wet and dirty..<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The second day was even more awesome because it was dry and therefore, it was like a perfect drift day: a great track, only cool people around and lots of awesome grassroots drifting!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Oh and have I mentioned somewhere that the following car makes me think about some modifications I could also do to mine..?<\/p>\n

So in the end of it, if I had to chose.. well I guess I would know what I would chose.. I mean come on.. but it’s closer than you might think, because a Drift Day out with your friends really is a great way to have fun!<\/p>\n

That’s it for this week, coming up are many more events as the season really is underway now. In may I will try and make it to at least one day of the IDS round 1 at Hockenheim and I’m certainly gonna be at the Drift Challenge in the same place towards the end of may, so my next photo friday might include some pics from Hockenheim. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
