The first proper drift event I attended this year was the DriftChallenge organized by sport auto at the Hockenheim two weeks ago.
\nThis event is special because it combines a supercar show, a race for tuners and a driftchallenge-\/show all together in a two day event. Especially the second day on saturday is very well known and attracts a huge count of specetators. <\/p>\n

Unfortunatelly there was so much going on that I only covered the drift part of it, but im sure most of you are interested in in the most.<\/p>\n

\non Friday morning there was open training on the east course at the Mercedes grandstand<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nTeam Falken was there<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nand also some King of Europe drivers<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nTeam Speed Industries was there with two drivers, Tobias with his all new white Silvia<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nand Swen in his trusty little AE86 screaming like a beehive<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAnd of course a lot more of known drivers<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nIn the afternoon was the qualification first<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nand the battles right after<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nRemmo impressed with his close driving<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nagain<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"
\nIn the end, Remmo won before Alex. Congratulation to both, great driving !<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nSaturday morning was again open driving and taxi rides at the Mercedes curve<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nused by almost all drivers<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nthat meant loots of driving time<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nalso a lot of time for us photographers to experiment with special shots \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nIn the afternoon was the drift shows at the famous sachs courve<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nwhich I think is great, especially because of all the spectators<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nThey go crazy<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nAnd the drivers doing their best entertaining the crowd while the short interuptions when the marshalls have to clean the track because of excessive gravel on the track<\/em><\/p>\n

\nas there was no competition this day<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nthere was a constant stream of driftcars flying by<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nand even trains with four and more cars<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nafter that the drivers from King of Europe got their slot<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nafter a few training rounds they did a exibition battle<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"
\nwith some nice battles<\/em><\/p>\n

\nin the end everyone left in a big cloud of smoke<\/em><\/p>\n
