Ask the BossAsk the Boss

Hi there, it is me Tobias aka the Boss.
I am the man behind most stuff at Speed Industries. It is my company and moreover my „brainchild“. I don’t make the rules. Not all of them anyways. (haha, always wanted to quote Ari from Entourage)

All the time I can remember I was interested in cars. As a little child I had lots of Matchbox cars and raced them around our carpet with imaginary racetracks, I even drifted them. 😉 Although my father was also racing cars in the 70’s I never got in contact with racing trough him and after passing away at an early stage in my life I never had the chance to do this with him. Somehow however the racing gene was in me though. After getting my first proper Japanese Car, a Subaru Impreza GC8, it took some time until I started racing. Back then I participated in the only legal racing in Switzerland: Slaloms and hillclimbs. So starting there gave me a lot of experience and I learned a lot. A little bit later I got my first AE86 and saw some special capabilities in that little thing. Two AE’s and two drift trainings later (no I did not crash them) I was attending the qualification for the Pro Class in the International Drift Series. After qualifying I was like why not drive a season and participated in a very low power car. That was great fun and a big learning experience.
During all that time I kept building the company and it grew from just a parts supplier to something that can handle all your driving needs: parts, cars and race.

Today I try to build one of the main drift teams and top quality company in Europe and I am glad to have a great bunch of crazy car fanatics around me. Each of them brings something unique to the team and I could not do it without them.

Coming back to the title, you can ask whatever you want, I will try to answer all your questions here.
