Speed Industries has different partners on site in Japan who inspect and test the cars on site and buy them for us. One way to do this is the big USS Auctions. This is an unimaginable car auction. Every day of the week there is auction day in another city. We usually buy cars on Tuesday in Yokohama and Thursday in Tokyo due to it’s close proximity to the port where the cars usually embark. You have to imagine that on every Thursday there are between 20 and 30’0000 cars going through the system in Tokyo. This means every 5-6 seconds a car is sold.
If you haven’t seen it you can not imagine this, believe me.
The parking compound where all the cars are lined up is the biggest one I have seen and you need something a little more practical to get around.
You will find all kind of cars at the auction and every week there is great cars in there.
From great JDM machines
to wild creations
and even exotics and lowriders
So you get a small idea how it looks at the auctions.
We also can source you special cars from dealers or some race teams. Some of our partners have direct access to proper built race cars from D1 and other race series.
So how does it work if you looking for a car?
Should you be looking for a car just drop us a mail or call us. We then determine what will be best (auction or trough our partners). Should you want to have a look at the auctions yourself then we will provide the login and you can roam the auctions as much as you want. But be aware you will spend a lot of time in there. 😉
The buying process itself is rather easy. As soon as we have found a car for you you will need to pay the car price, local handling and shipping to a port of your choice. Then the car goes on the ship. Prior to this we can also get work done on the car while it is in Japan or modify it to your needs on site. Everything is possible and you can safe a great amount on shipping for parts if you do it like this.
As soon as the car arrives at the port of your choice you can pick it up yourself or we handle the further transport of the car. Just let us know and we take it from there.
