I met Stefan for the first time at one of my trackdays back in 2008. The same year he came along for a mountain cruise during a summer day in his MR2 SW20. Today he is one member of the Speed Industries grip team.
Stefan had his first track experiences with the bespoke Toyota MR2 SW20. He realized the fun in driving on a track and soon he formed a plan for getting something faster with less compromises compared to his street legal MR2.
With two of his closest friends he formed a team and they bought a Honda CRX ED9 for a start.
Soon after they stumbled over an ex Honda Challenge car, a CRX EE8. They had no choice but to buy this example since it had real racing pedigree and a lot of work done to it.
This year Stefan will be the only one driving the CRX and he wants to start driving in the Swiss slalom championship.
We all wish him the best for the 2011 season and are looking forward to battle it out with him at our own events. 🙂
