Photography Friday – Volume 10Photography Friday – Volume 10

I wish my old Camera was faster back in 2010. Anyway here is what I captured in early 2010 at the Hockenheim Drift Challenge during a practice session at the Hockenheim East Course:

Alain in his Züridrift S14 entering the corner

initiate the drift…

shiiiit, thas some serious air

and baaam, slaming back on the ground..

still on the gas?? body parts started to fly around..

more dirt flying.. on the upside, this picture got sharp 😀

will he hit the wall ???? …

nope, very lucky man, still some dirt clouds in the air..

halted right before the wall. also you can spot the blown tyre which was the reason of the flyoff in the first place..

checking out the damage and the missing parts on the car

and yes, the girl was on the passenger seat during this "incident", and is now allready helping checking out the car. brave!

It was quite a tense moment seeing your friend almost having a huge crash right in the lense of your camera.

I have to add that they could repair the car in time and he even made it to the competition. Reparing involved getting damaged suspension parts to a garage near by and welding all the broken stuff together. Im always amazed how the whole team works together and can temporary fix almost any damage on the cars.I wish my old Camera was faster back in 2010.
