Driver Presentation: Chris EG6Driver Presentation: Chris EG6

One day we were participating at a 2,5h Kart race. It was just me and some friends. I got there in my daily AE86 and when we were all standing at the car after lunch some guy approached me and asked me if this was my car. As it turned out it was Chris and he also had an AE86 and fell in love with lightweight japanese cars some time ago.

Shortly after this I met him again and told him about Speed Industries and what we do. It only took him some minutes and he signed up for a trackday. Later that year I decided to get him into the team since he was working intensively on his EG6 and was showing good effort on track.

Chris was introduced to motorsports through his uncle who was driving slaloms. He always tried to be at the events and was getting the race experience through all his senses. Soon after he started driving go kart and got his own experiences behind the steering wheel.

When he reached his 18th year of life he started to drive cars and after some various models he got his first EG6 in 2007. He instantly knew this was something to enter racing. So he did some minor mods and entered his first slalom race.

Over the years his car turned from street legal club racer to a race track only car. He did all the work himself on this and various other EG6’s and his knowledge about these cars was growing from day to day.

This also put him into the position of setting up his own little shop specialized in Hondas. People turn to him if they want some good work done on their cars.

One of his favourite cars is a special japanese Civic SIR II. It is a special race car imported by Honda Switzerland. The car shows a lot of detail work and still has very little mileage. Something very very rare indeed.

This year Chris is back to attack in the swiss slalom championship and some races outside the country. We are eager to see him and his Civic back on track and get some nice results.
