Corner Talk: not cheap, not easyCorner Talk: not cheap, not easy

While being in the midst of the season preparations we once again struggle to get all the things financed we need. I can tell you getting a car, team, drivers, supporters in line for a full on race season is neither cheap nor easy.

At this time of the year I sit together with members of my team every week to discuss certain stuff face by face. Additionally I have calls, texts, mails and other online communication going on with everybody from my team. I guess this happens when you start to take things seriously and want to get to the next level.
I am very glad though to have such a good bunch of people together in my team. Most the times it is quite easy working with them and all of them are like family to me.

The whole team helping one member with a build. Thats just what I love.

Luckily there is also some stuff which makes me feel really good about the upcoming season.
We have secured a very promising deal with Touge Automotive and just received the custom designs for the rear windows of our drift cars.

I really like the look of those skulls. Can’t wait to have one on the team bus too.

Another interesting aspect is that we do get very positive feedback from various sides about getting recognized as one of the major drift teams in Europe. This is one of our main goals since we started the team and I am glad we are slowly getting there.

On the other hand lots of money goes into our cars right now to get them ready for the season. We already had a few test sessions in Italy, Germany and France and slowly but steady going after the flaws which are still around. I guess we already burned around 60 tires, a gearbox, one turbo, some aeroparts and lots of fuel.

The team out in almost full force at a practice day in Monza, Italy.

Besides the drivers we also have our media team. They also stepping up their game all the time and I can not believe how far they came. When I look at videos and pictures from 3 years back they made HUGE progress. To be honest we would not be where we are at this point without them. They really helped to show people what we are about and they are a major part of the team.

We also have other supporters who help us with random stuff on site at the events. Sometimes they help with changing wheels, fixing some stuff on the cars, handing a drink or just having a kind word if your day sucks big time.
These people make driving at events so much easier since a driver can keep his head free for the track and can get the fullest out of the possible driving time.

Here you see Jo and Alain putting up the new sticker on Alains S14. If Alain would have done this himself, the car would have exploded 30min after the shot.

For all the unknown faces we have in our team we do have some events coming up.
One is the season opener at the Barflyz in Zurich on the 16th of April. This will be a small thank you for all of you.
Everybody else is also welcome to meet and greet with the team, have a drink, chat about cars, racing etc and watch some of our last years videos. More details about this will follow.
