Photofriday – AdR DriftCup 2012 – IDS round 3Photofriday – AdR DriftCup 2012 – IDS round 3

This year the famous DriftCup in Anneau du Rhin was combined with the 3rd IDS run of this season.
For me the DriftCup is special for 3 things.

1. Drifting into the night

2. A great atmosphere with lots of spectators

3. A Super fast track layout

on friday evening was training day

where the drivers could start to get familiar with the track

And the grass around 🙂

And as a photographer, the light around sunset is very interesting

And when you manage to capture a snap right when the last sunrays hits the drivers face, its like jackpot to me

Unfortunately this moment doesnt last long and after the sun is down its starting the get difficult

And at around 11pm it was almost impossible for me to get acceptable shots

On saturday evening the serious part started

first qualification of the pros

Oli Harsch on his qualification run

After that the battles started

Which unfortunately doesnt went too well for some

But we saw some good battles

Close driving

And spectacular run offs

Congratulations to the driver

And a special thanks to Nicolas from Team MSO which organised the whole event and provided me with the press access

We all had very much fun and enjoyed two two days very much

Hope to be there next year
