Here’s some more sideways footage from an almost complete lap at Pouilly. This is a great drift track in France for those of you who don’t know it. We will be having many more track days there so get ready to rumble in 2012.

To note in video: The lines taken might not have been the best ones but that’s why we love drifting; it’s filled with improvisation and a little dirt drop at the end

For the 6th round of the IDS drift competitions in Monza, Italy we were in a pinch. Half the drivers of Team SI were booked to run at a drift show at the Red Bull Racedays in Switzerland. So Andrew and myself were the only Speed Industries drivers who were up for the challenge of Round 6. Here’s how our story went…

IDS Round 4 Lausitz – Rise and FallIDS Round 4 Lausitz – Rise and Fall

Two pro drivers from Team Speed Industries started off early in the morning to get to the east of Germany and attend the fourth round of the IDS PRO competition. Lausitz is even farther away from home than Sosnova, CZ where we were battling it out last time. The day-long roadtrip was exciting nonetheless and we arrived early enough to start building our tents on Thursday night. Many thanks to Lisa Linke for the wonderful photography!

SI Team leader Tobias Welti pulled off an epic 1st place finish at IDS Round 5 at the Nürburgring. He had to beat many fierce opponents and a lot of one-more-times were required in the finals and semi finals.

But toby showed nerves of steel and brought it home. Congratulations and many thanks to all the supporters to make this possible! Stay tuned for photos, videos and all sorts of media from this incredible weekend!
